Free Sample of Avril Lavigne's Forbidden Rose Perfume

Well, Here we have a perfume sample. I know I personally don't like paying big money for something without knowing I'll like it first, so a tester of a scent is great. (That and I don't wear perfume very often, so a tester is all I'd need). Anyway... here we have a free sample of Avril Lavigne's new fragrance, Forbidden Rose.

Rumor Has It...

That Smith's will be doing their "double coupon" event again starting this Wednesday. Just in case you don't remember how this works, coupons with a value under $1 will become $1. So a $0.25off coupon will be $1 off, as will a $0.50 off, $0.55 off, and $0.75 off (and any random numbers in between). Any coupon of $1 or more will stay the same.
I have to say, it seems the stores down here in Utah County are now competing for the couponers' business, and I couldn't be happier. Ridley's doubles coupons every Tuesday, and Smith's seems to be doing their double coupon event once a month. I'm good with that. The time it takes to walk the aisles finding every deal I can is a little much for me to do much more than once a month, especially with a little one. There should be info about this in the Smith's ad that comes out today (in your mailbox). If you are like me, and your mailman isn't very reliable, you can probably also go online right now and look it up.

Down for the count

Hey everyone, sorry, I've been kinda down for the count with a breast infection the last little while, (hence the no posts) I'm still feeling it, so I don't know when I'll be back up. Hopefully I'll be better by the end of today, or tomorrow

Ridley's Deals

Yay! Their ad finally appeared online! Our mail doesn't come until way late about half the time, so I never know when the ad will come that way, so I use the online one. So, here are the deals that I found in the ad for this week, but remember double coupon Tuesday. Sorry, this post is later than I would have liked for that.

Rite Aid 101

Well, I told you I'd have this up soon. So, here is my info post on Rite Aid, and what little tricks there are for that store.
In my opinion, Rite Aid is fairly straightforward in the way they accept coupons. One manufacturer coupon, one Rite Aid coupon. For anyone interested, or if you are in the habit of carrying the coupon policies with you, here is Rite Aid's official coupon policy (Thanks Deal Seeking Mom) The coupons cannot exceed the amount of the item, but generally they'll just adjust the coupon down to the item price. I'm not going to list everything that is in their offical coupon policy, but here is my favorite part. "If a customer presents a Buy One Get One Free coupon for the purchase of two items that are on a Buy One Get One Free promotion; we accept the coupon, essentially making both items free."
There are a few extras involved with Rite Aid though.
First of all, they have an online coupon section called Video Values. What this is: You watch some videos, and they give you coupons. Fairly straight forward. You can also find Rite Aid coupons in their ad every Sunday.
The next extra thing that Rite Aid does is the Single Check Rebate (SCR) program. What it is: A simple way to get rebates for items that you buy, all items throughout the month in a single check (rather than 5 different $1 checks). How it works: There is a SCR ad in the stores that you can pick up, so that you know the different rebates that are going on throughout the month. They will also list some every week in their ad. So, you buy some of the items that are have a SCR amount. When you get home you go online to their website and find the Single Check Rebate link (at the bottom), or just go here, and sign up. Once you have signed up, put in the receipt info it asks you for. They will then automatically see which items you purchased that had a SCR on it. Keep doing this throughout the month, and then at the end of the month you can request a check. Be careful though. You will want to make sure you wait until the month is over, because if you request your check for that month,  you cannot request another one. So, if you requested it before the month was over, and then bought more that month, you'd be out of luck.

Now, I personally have had issues at Rite Aid because I can't always get there first thing Monday morning. A lot of the good deals will be sold out by the time I get there. However, Rite Aid will do Rain Checks, as long as it isn't a SCR item. So, you will want to do a couple things to combat the out of stock issue. First; ask your Rite Aid when they restock. (I haven't checked mine yet) If your Rite Aid restocks on Wednesday, that might be the reason it seems to always be sold out so early on Monday. If you're still having problems, ask them for a Rain Check. Again, they won't give them for the SCR items, but some of the other deals you can still get.
That's all I can think to tell you for Rite Aid. I hope that helps.

Ridley's ad

Well... Their weekly ad isn't up yet, so I will have those deals for you (double coupon Tuesday!) as soon as I can. Sorry.

FREE Bodycology lotion from Walmart

Walmart is giving away yet another freebie. I love it when they do, because Walmart's are fairly reliable. There have been a lot of freebies I've ordered, and not received, but I don't believe any of them are from Walmart. This time they are giving away a free sample of lotion. You get your choice of either cherry blossom, or cucumber melon. Go here to request yours.
Thanks Our Thrifty Ideas.

Paper Deal at Staples

Okay, technically this could have come in yesterday's post, because the Staples ad did come in the Sunday paper. However, it wasn't in my idea of "groceries" so I figured I would just give it a separate post.  Dollar Days are back at Staples, and paper is included. It is the HP multipurpose paper. Now, it will actually be $4.99 OOP, but Staples has an easy MIR available on it for $3.99, so you end up paying $1. You are also allowed to buy 2 reams of paper and get the rebate on both. So, you would spend $10, but get $8 of it back.

FREE Propel

Here's another Facebook Freebie for you all. Just go here and "like" them, and you can then request a free sample of Propel powder (so you can then mix the drink whenever you want).
Thanks Our Thrifty Ideas!

Free Purex Sample

So, I decided that it was taking too much time on Fridays and Tuesdays to do the freebie posts, and then I was losing some of the freebies by holding off on them. So I am going to try keeping up with them as I get them We'll see what this does with my time around the house.

So anyway, here is a free sample of the Purex 3-in-1 wash sheets. This has reset, so no worries about  if you got them before. These are nice and simple to use, but they are high-priced, and (in my opinion) have way too much detergent and softener for me to use them more than just from the samples.Yours should arrive in 6-8 weeks.

Okay, well, I know its later in the day than I normally get these up, but oh well. Hopefully you'll all still catch them.

Put in on your keychain, and then you can clip them to your belt loop, or often there will be a loop right inside your purse or diaper bag. Allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.
Thanks Our Thrifty Ideas

And now we have a free sample of Moist Sure. It is a hand soap with lotion in it. Go here to get your freebie. Just fill out your info, hit submit, and wait 3-4 weeks for your sample.
Here we have a free sample of Loctite. (I'm guessing super-glue-esque) Now, on this one you do have to have a company name, but you can make one up, or even put in "______ Household" as yours (with your last name filling in the blank" It doesn't say it has to be a formed company. ;) I used my blog title.

Okay, this one isn't exactly a get-something-in-the-mailbox freebie. However, Odwalla is offering to plant trees in whatever state you request. They are going to plan 175,000 trees, or go until August 17th. Let's make it so they don't get to their deadline, they are currently at about 41.5 thousand. I would much rather have them run out of trees to plant. Head on over to the Odwalla Plant a Tree Page to say which state you want to have a little more green.  It does ask to connect to your facebook account, but it also gives you an option of just entering in some of your info instead.

Thanks Freebies 2 Deals
And here we have a free sample of Cottonelle toilet paper and moist wipes. This is through Walmart, so go here to request it.
Thanks Our Thrify Ideas .

Well, good luck everyone. Have a fantastic weekend.

Grocery Store deals

I know this is a day late today, but it really isn't my fault. The ads didn't come til a day late. Silly holidays messing up my timing. ;) That's okay though, I prefer to have the holiday. So anyway, in my opinion there weren't only 3 stores that had any deals worth mentioning. Now remember the deals I post are always IMO (in my opinion). That is why I always suggest finding multiple blogs. I won't see all the deals, because there are somethings that my brain automatically skips over. For example, my blog is the wrong place to look for deals on soda. I don't drink soda, my husband doesn't drink soda, so I have no idea if there are coupons or rebates or what a good price is for it at all. So obviously, if you're going for soda deals, you'll need to find another blog. Anyway... getting back to the grocery deals.
Sunflower Farmer's Market:
I think I've said this before, but I will reiterate, Sunflower is more of a health foods store (not entirely, but the majority of "couponing" cannot be done there. That being said, they often have great prices on meat and produce, and if you are going for the health foods, then they're great, and its actually one of my favorite stores to shop at.

Ridley's issues

Well, I don't know if it is my internet connection, or if it is Ridley's website, but I am not being able to view their ad online, and I don't know if I'm going to get their ad in the mail today, so it may be a while before I'm able to post the deals for the double coupons today. I will keep trying to view it, and I'll get that list up as soon as possible. In the meantime, check out these coupon websites and print the new coupons that came out today.
